Every AI Device You Can’t Buy Right Now
Last verified: 29 August 2026. We re-check every status on this page and update the date above. If the date is more than two weeks old, treat the statuses as stale and email us.
Twenty-two products with real demand and no stock. Pre-orders, waitlists, and hardware that has been announced but never shipped.
We keep this page because nobody else does. Every entry says exactly where the product stands right now — and, where one exists, what you can actually buy today instead. We sell some of those alternatives, which we say plainly rather than pretending to be neutral.
The one thing driving all of it
Memory. DRAM spot prices rose roughly 700% over the past year as AI datacentres absorbed supply. That single fact explains every delayed GPU, every out-of-stock mini PC, and every Apple configuration that quietly disappeared.
Analysts do not expect real relief before 2028. We wrote about what that means if you are waiting to buy.
What the statuses mean
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| PRE-ORDER | Orderable, but not in stock — ships on a queue |
| NO ORDER PAGE | Announced or previewed only — you cannot pay for it |
| HELD BACK | Hardware exists; the vendor is withholding launch |
| BACKORDERED | Add-to-cart works, fulfilment is delayed |
| DISCONTINUED | No longer sold to new customers |

Lenovo ThinkStation PGX — from $5,849 |
| M5 Ultra Mac Studio | NO ORDER PAGE Gated by the memory market, not Apple’s calendar |
Beelink GTR9 Pro — $4,349 128GB unified memory, available today |
The Framework row is the one worth pausing on. Every Ryzen AI Max+ 395 configuration on frame.work is listed out of stock and sold as a pre-order, and Framework does not sell through retailers. The GTR9 Pro uses the identical processor with the same 128GB of memory, and it is in a box we can ship. If you were waiting on a Framework Desktop, you are waiting for a queue, not for hardware.
Graphics cards
| Product | Status | What you can buy today |
|---|---|---|
| RTX 5070 SUPER 18GB RTX 5070 Ti SUPER 24GB RTX 5080 SUPER 24GB |
HELD BACK Reportedly finished. NVIDIA told partners to hold — 3GB GDDR7 modules cost 2–3× the 2GB parts. Leaks split between late 2026 and CES 2027 |
If the goal is local AI rather than gaming, unified memory beats VRAM you cannot buy: GTR9 Pro, 128GB — $4,349 GTi15 Ultra — from $1,499 |
| AMD RDNA 5 | NO DATE Reportedly mid-to-late 2027 or later |
As above — this is not a “wait a few months” situation |

Maker tier — priced out, not sold out
| Product | Status | What you can buy today |
|---|---|---|
| Raspberry Pi 5 16GB AI HAT+ 2 |
IN STOCK $120 in Nov 2025 → $205, then a further $100 hike. The HAT rose $50 |
Available — but do the maths before buying. Once you have added the HAT, storage and a power supply, a Beelink EQi Pro at $629 with 24GB and OpenClaw pre-installed is a different class of machine for local AI |
| Raspberry Pi 6 | NOT BEFORE 2028 Confirmed by Raspberry Pi’s CEO — and it will not include an NPU |
If you were holding out for the Pi 6 to do AI work, stop holding out |
Discontinued and dead
| Product | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Limitless Pendant | DISCONTINUED Sales ended 5 December 2025 after the Meta acquisition |
Existing owners keep a support path. New buyers have no legitimate product page — be careful with third-party listings at inflated prices |
| Humane AI Pin | SERVERS OFFLINE Stopped connecting at noon Pacific, 28 February 2025 |
Cloud access, calling, messaging and AI queries all ended, and remaining server data was deleted. A Humane AI Pin sold today is a paperweight — do not buy one second-hand |
Why we maintain this
We sell mini PCs, AI desktops, NAS systems and docks. So yes, this page exists partly because people searching for hardware they cannot buy sometimes buy hardware they can.
But it only works if it is true. A stale “out of stock” claim costs us exactly as much credibility as a false “in stock” one, so we re-verify every row and date-stamp the page. Where there is no honest alternative to recommend, we say so and leave the column empty rather than pushing something that does not fit.
If a status here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it: support@computahardware.com.
Want to know when something lands?
Email us at support@computahardware.com with the product name and we will tell you when it becomes orderable. We will not pass your address to the manufacturer or anyone else — see our Privacy Policy.
